Exceptional RARE 18th Century Dutch / French? European School Oil on Canvas



Wonderful early early oil on canvas rarity circa approximately 1750-1790. An active farm scene unfolds centering on a young girl in 18th century farm attire as she hand feeds from a shallow basket tray a new calf her hands guiding the meal as a doting mother overlooks the scene. Her young brother cuddles a hen in the shadows. As the family farm dog lounges watching the event from a tool bin accompanied by buckets and pans with leaning tools in the foreground. A post hole buckboard farm wagon, an old growth tree, hills and billowing greying clouds on a blue sky complete the background.
Guaranteed authentic excellent original condition. Some paint discoloration, light spotted craquelure due to age ( approximately 250-275 years old). Shows true antiquity well. (See photos)! Frame is plaster press with gold gilding. Dimensions are approximately:
