The RARE Spent Battlefield Artilary Shell Dates back to the 1930's. It was hand hammered with relief design, and signed L Houzeaux, Etains d'Art du Chevalier.

On the front there is the artisan maker's name - L Houzeaux. This is for Lucien Houxeaux (died 1978). He founded the pewter works 'Les Etains d'Art du Chevalier' - L.Houzeaux & Cie' in Perreux-sur-Marne, a company which, after steady expansion, moved in 1968 to Neuilly-Plaisance.
