One 1969 National Football League Players Association METAL SIGN

I know little--for certain--about this item 

30+ minutes of online searching has led to no even close match

As best I can tell, this was produced by or for the NFL Players Association (Union); as that is the only marking on it 

Features Hall-of-Famer Bubba Smith (in, I think, his Rookie season with the original Baltimore Colts) 

Made of a moderately thick, sturdy steel 

Looks like it was meant to be a wall-hanging sign

WIDE landscape-oriented sign

Measures 34-1/2" wide X 4-1/2 tall X about 3/4" deep at top  
  
CONDITION: USED/PRE-OWNED... Has plentiful scratching and some tarnish and light corrosion scattered about; the latter most notably on the bottom edge near the left side edge. Has a few smaller dents. There is some tape residue and some clear old tape scraps above the center logo. Has the pictured wear around the hanging holes.
