Through 42 seasons, Meyer guided the nationally-known Blue Demons to 21 postseason appearances including 13 NCAA Tournaments. Meyer recorded 37 winning seasons and twelve 20-win seasons, including seven straight from 1978 to 1984. A man of great integrity who created a family atmosphere at DePaul, Meyer’s teams displayed astounding consistency. Meyer attracted top talent to DePaul, and a dozen of his players were named All-America. Meyer is credited with developing the potential talent of George Mikan and turning him into one of the best big men to play the game. Additionally, a former basketball captain under Hall of Famer George Keogan at Notre Dame.
