Makoto Yamaguchi is a sixth-generation ceramic artist currently active in the Akatsu region of Seto City, Aichi Prefecture, inheriting the tradition of the Seizan-gama kiln which has the long history since Edo period.
His distinctive style is characterized by the beautiful textures of Oribe and Ki-Seto, showcasing innovative and unprecedented works. While maintaining tradition, his pieces incorporate free-thinking, resulting in bold yet delicate creations.
He holds numerous solo exhibitions nationwide and has received multiple awards.
