Vintage Indiana GlassSatin Green Diamond Point Lidded Urn

A tall and striking Indiana Glass piece that is made of lime green satin glass in the Diamond Point Pattern. This eye-catcher is 16" tall and features a lovely scalloped base, and a paneled stem with a diamond studded wafer on the top. The bowl section of this urn also has the diamond shaped texture and has a 1/2" wide plain band at the top. The bottom of the bowl section has 6 panel edges that are under the diamond shaped design.

The Diamond Point pattern by Indiana Glass was first made in 1965.

Satin glass is glass that has been chemically treated to give it a satin finish. The term "satin glass" is frequently used to refer to a collectible type of pressed glass.

The satin finish is produced by treating the glass with hydrofluoric acid or hydrofluoric acid fumes. The resulting glass has an opaque finish.
