This pre-war key-wound American Zephyr train set was made around 1936-1939. It is made of lithographed sheet metal, which was offered after the original aluminum model was no longer available due to the many aluminum drives for the war effort. This set has been played with, knocked around, and stored away for over 87 years and is still working and has the original finish. The key-wound motor works properly, and the set comes with the key-wound engine, three cars, ten pieces of curved track, four pieces of straight track, an X piece of track, and a piece of Y track. Sold as-is.
