Ardalt Lenwile Occupied Japan Cup and Saucers. Hand Painted, Rare, Beautiful.

After World War II, the Allied forces occupied Japan for seven years, and during the occupation period, most Japanese goods imported to the U.S. carried the mark "Occupied Japan". This vintage was made during the post WWII era from 1947 to 1952 and is highly collectible.

The rare and beautiful flowers are intricately embellished in each piece, gracefully designed on a black base and rimmed with gold, making it truly elegant, beautiful and remarkable. The artist is very successful in conveying the beauty of love, even at times of war and suppression.
