60s Italian Modernist, hand-blown original Luigi Mandruzzato for Vetri, is this gorgeous faceted vase and clear outer. Luigi is the Grandfather of Allessandro Mandruzzato. It is 4-sided shaped, facet cut piece with polished sides top. Luigi is is best known, as his work is characterized within the Mid-Century period; of producing Geometric and Cubic-shaped Murano Glass pieces, in an asymmetrical and Symmetrical shaped vessels/vases and decorative accent pieces seminal to the period, then and now, with color combinations and polished, faceted sides. In good overall condition, has on tiny chip on a corner that is difficult to see unless you look very closely. It is very heavy and has thick walls and base. 8" H x 2.25" diameter at widest.
