Haviland Covered Cheese Dish # 23644

This is a white Haviland covered cheese dish with pink flowers and green trim and some gold on the handles. The edges don’t look like they were ever trimmed. The mark is dated 1888 to 1896 and I have not yet found a pattern name.

The base dish measures 7.75 inches from handle to handle and is 7.00 inches wide. The center is 5.00 inches wide, and it is 1.25 inches tall. It is about 4.00 inches to the top of the handle.

The dish has some nice shaping at the top by the handle and a slightly fluted shape below that. The edge has a scalloped ridged design with green trim over that. The base bowl has this same ridged scalloped design.

There is no trim color although there is some gold on the bow handle on the lid and below it and a tiny bit on the handles on the base dish.

There are no chips, cracks, crazing, or other damage.
