1905 Cornell University Ivy League Football Shaped Mug with Rower

1905 antique Cornell University mug/cup/stein with a crew theme.

The crew 'rower' on the front is standing with a paddle, and is beautifully decorated, featuring a classic uniform with the traditional "C" on the front of his jersey, and the image is signed F. EARL CHRISTY.


Measures 5 inches by 5 inches.


Christy is a well known American artist who lived from 1882 - 1961. Early in his career he specialized in early college images and studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. We deal in a lot of Christy memorabilia, and this is one of his finest specimens and is uncommon.


The bottom of the mug has the maker's mark of T. Maddock's Sons, Trenton, N.J. Trenton was a center of American pottery making at the turn of the twentieth century.
