About Chinese Wuhu Metalwork :
Chinese wrought iron artwork can be traced back 300 years to the town of Wuhu in the Anhui province, an area where advanced iron metallurgy has been practiced for thousands of years. To make these pictures, artisans beat iron by hand to form three-dimensional traditional Chinese "paintings". The iron is painted to avoid it rusting over time. In 2005, iron artworks were listed among the first group of China's Intangible Cultural Heritage.
