Arvi Mikonpoika Tynys ( September 2, 1902 Viuhkola, Luumäki, South Karelia Finland - October 29, 1959 New York, United States) was a Finnish sculptor. He worked as a sculptor in Finland and several other countries. Tynys made several grave markers and Hero statues, which are in Finland, the United States and Haiti. They sculpted in bronze, granite and wood. Tynys was above all a sculptor, but his works also include small sculptures, watercolor and oil paintings. Tynys combined different genres and personal expressions.
