Vintage viewfinder with slides

This stereoscopic viewfinder lot contains 33 original cardboard cards produced by Webster & Albee in the late 1800s to early 1900s. Each card features a unique image depicting various themes such as working life, art, natural history, topographical views, conflicts and wars, history, cultures and ethnicities, Western life, hobbies and leisure, agriculture, cities and towns, nature, continents and countries, architecture, famous places, fashion, people, social history, portraits, floral designs, domestic and family life, and politics and much more.
These vintage stereoviews are a rare antique collectible that showcases a significant period of time in American history. Some but not all slides depict what the picture is portraying on back of slide. All slides in very good condition, with the exception of three slides contains damage. The stereoviews are a great addition to any collection and a wonderful way to experience the past through images. Included is a vintage Van Dyck cigar box.
