1944 Vtg WWII AMERICAN OPTICAL TRUE COLOR USAAF BOMBER PILOT AVIATOR SUNGLASSES

Offering an original pair of high quality 1944 vintage WWII AMERICAN OPTICAL "TRUE COLOR" or "COOL RAY" AVIATOR SUNGLASSES. I believe that the frames are 12K gold filled and have the original brow bar. These glasses belonged to my late father-in-law who was a B-17 pilot in southern and eastern Europe during WWII. We recently found these packed in a small box marked "TRUE COLOR AO WWII GLASSES". We know very little about vintage sunglasses and did our best to correctly describe this pair. Glasses measures 5 3/4" distance across front and lenses are 2" tall. Wrap style arms are 4 1/2" long.

CONDITION: Good overall. Frame parts are very strong and have some mild tarnished patina. Lenses are very good, no issues. NO BOX OR STORAGE CASE (see photos).
