Antique London Town Red Leather Box Sterling Silver repoussé lid Mermaid Waves

Beautiful antique leather trinket box with a sterling silver lid, featuring a stunning repoussé mermaid among swirling ocean waves. The silver lid is hallmarked, indicating sterling quality and British origin, likely from the late Victorian or Edwardian era (circa 1890–1910). The elegant Art Nouveau design showcases fine craftsmanship, with graceful, flowing lines and intricate detail. The body of the box is covered in rich red leather with a hinged lid that opens smoothly. Hallmarks include a maker's mark, lion passant for sterling, and additional British assay marks.
