RARE Le Bambole di Arianna Porcelain Doll “Nine” Handmade In Italy

Doll was never displayed nor played with.
Approximately 12” tall
She was purchased in Milan in 1997.
She is a full body fine bisque porcelain doll. She is 5-way jointed (neck, shoulders and hips). She is identified by the porcelain hang tag with her name "Nine" on one side and "Le Bambole di Arianna" on the other - suspended from her delicate wrist by gold cord.
Her hair is made of Mohair and is covered with a lovely cap adorned with pearls. Her blue eyes are hand-painted glass. Her gorgeous and intricate outfit is made of the finest European materials, a tradition that goes back to the 1830s. She wears hand-crocheted slippers, pantalettes trimmed with lace and pink ribbons, an organza short sleeved slip beneath her long sleeved soft cotton dress and a bib, all of which are trimmed with Italian lace.
