Rare original 1930s Art Deco porcelain promotional pharmacy display jar for Leroux Pastilles, made for Pharmacie Pape in Paris. Features a polar bear standing atop a blue and white globe with Leroux lettering. Heavy French porcelain, hand-painted, with glossy glaze. Used as an in-store promotional display to advertise menthol throat pastilles. Polar bears symbolized cooling relief in 1930s pharmacy advertising. Fun fact: pharmacy displays like this were reserved for premium brands and prized by collectors today.
