Vintage Silver Tea Set

This is a one of a kind find, in my 15 years of antiquing, I have never crossed another one of these besides one's that I have seen in museums, & private libraries. This is a 5 piece solid Silver Tea Set from the late 1800's. I was lucky enough to obtain this beauty from my Great Great Grandmother who's mother it belonged to before coming into her possession. Luckily my Great-Grandmother was able to smuggle it out of Germany along jewelery, coins, marks, China, & alot of other really beautiful things that would have been taken & used, or destroyed by the Third Reich. Not only does this piece have class, & more than 5lbs of silver(which alone is worth close to $2,000 itself), it has a story, a life of its own. It makes for a great conversation piece, & a beautiful decoration piece if you choose not to use it. Also when polished, it looks brand new however, I was told by my antique dealer that polishing it would take away value so I left it as is.
