Very rare book on the global history of the sport of polo. With essay contributions from Prince Philip, Rao Rajah Hanut Singh, Earl Mountbatten of Burma, Juan Carlos Harriott Jr., Cecil Smith, Ricardo S. Santamarina, Baron Elie de Rothschild & Robert Skene.

Price clipped jacket now protected in new (removable) archival sleeve but with some rubbing/scuffing to faces and shelf wear around the edges. Front board faintly bowed away from text block at fore edge and with corners bumped but boards are otherwise quite clean. Slightly cocked spine with a few instances of mildly split binding.
