First edition, fourth printing hardcover copy of Secrets of Charm by John Robert Powers & Mary Sue Miller (The John C. Winston Company, 1954). This copy printed in 1958. Very rare early printing of the first edition of this classic fashion / etiquette book. With illustrations and photographs.

An ex-library copy with related stamps to outer edges of text block and a few pages, blemish to rear endpaper where a check out slip was apparently removed, and discoloration/wear to boards and endpapers where jacket was once taped down. Jacket now protected in new (removable) archival sleeve but with some rubbing/scuffing to faces and shelf wear around the edges - including chipping, creases and small tears. Corners bumped. Binding is firm and spine is fairly straight. Foxing to many pages and fairly heavy tanning on the whole. See photos for condition. Packaged with care and shipped via USPS Media Mail
