Children of Vito Montalbano and his first wife, Antonina D'Aiuto, and his second wife, Vincenza Latino, arrived in the United States between 1880-1922. They settled mostly in Louisiana and Texas. The family of Gioacchino Latino and Rosa Dichiara arrived in the United States in 1897, settling initially in Louisiana and later moving to California. Other prominent surnames include Governale and Damore.
