Tewksbury was the starting pitcher for the National League in the 1992 All-Star Game, and was chosen as the top player on the team that year by the St. Louis chapter of the Baseball Writers of America Association. He is considered one of the all-time best control pitchers, having allowed only 292 walks in 1,807 innings. Tewksbury finished his career in 1998 with a record of 110-102 and an ERA of 3.92.
