My little brother learned to read with this system in the 90s. I was 12 at the time and I loved singing the songs right along with him. I have NEVER forgotten my phonetic rules and having a strong phonetic base has been super helpful in learning multiple languages. My mom passed it along to my sister and she taught her 2 boys to read with it and I then taught my daughter to read with it. They are all confident readers with a solid understanding of the english language.
