This rare laserdisc features the  movie "Desert Kickboxer" starring John Haymes Newton (from the TV show Superboy) and the first directorial effort by Israeli born Isaac Florentine, (who would go on to be known directing some excellent direct to video martial arts movies like U.S. Seals II and the Undisputed sequels in addition to various Power Rangers series). The film follows a young man who is forced to fight for his life after an unfortunate setback and protect a young woman witness to corruption.


Though not exhibiting action like his future directorial efforts, "Desert Kickboxer" is a commendable low-budget effort, shot on location in the iconic Vasquez Rooks in L.A. where Hollywood filmed countless westerns and movies. It was the Vulcan skyline in Star Trek IV. It's also where Captain Kirk fought the Gorn in Arena! A  must-see and a perfect addition to your unicorn Isaac Florentine completist collection.
