Found this vintage hat amid a bunch of other vintage hats. All the hats you see listed in my storefront. They were all stored together in hat boxes for decades. Preserved. It’s my impression they belonged to my maternal grandmother. But some may be older. I’m not always entirely sure what era. Unique little blue velour bowler hat with broad grosgrain ribbon with button and chocolate-brown fishnet (note some broader holes). Even the interior is fancy. Also looks scarcely worn IRL. In overall excellent condition. What’s the elongated fishnet all about? Anyway, she’s one of a kind and stunning.

Label also reads “Montabert.” “Germaine Montabert was a prominent 20th-century milliner based in NYC, known for her high-fashion hats sold at her own boutique and in major department stores.“
