VTG 60’s 70’s Pat Sandler 8 10 Dress Black Sweater Santana Knit Midi Stretch

This vintage black midi dress was designed by luxury US designer Pat Sandler for Wellmore for size 10. He was described as a couture designer. I thought for sure this was a cocktail dress with shoulder pads was from the 1980’s! But apparently Mr. Sandler was a designer from the 1960’s to the 1970’s and this is an After 5 dress. I'm thinking bouffant hairdo, long cigarette holder, mod, swinging, Frug dancing, ridiculously cool and sophisticated cocktail parties.
The form fitting dress is in excellent condition. The fabric is very similar to Santana Knit. A well made sweater type material with a lot of stretch that doesn’t wrinkle, which can also be called a travel knit. (I guess he beat Marie Gray to the punch!)
The content tag has been removed. There’s a hidden back zipper, shoulder pads, and soustache decorating the bodice and sleeves.
